Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Guli collects, why, and what you can do about it.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
- Guli is a dating service available at myguli.ge, in Telegram (@Guli_dat_bot) and in our mobile apps.
- For questions about your data, message us on Telegram @irakli_2014 or use the support page inside the service.
2. What we collect
- Account: email address and/or phone number, Telegram id and username, Apple id if you sign in with Apple, interface language.
- Profile: name, date of birth, your gender and the gender you are looking for, country, city and region, photos, text about yourself, prompt answers, occupation, height, languages, interests, dating intent, attitude to children, religion, attitude to therapy, compatibility quiz answers.
- Location: coordinates derived from your city name or — with your permission — your device coordinates. Other users only ever see a distance, never coordinates.
- A selfie if you go through photo verification.
- Activity: likes and passes, matches, profile views, messages, reports and blocks, support requests.
- Payments: records of Premium and gift purchases. We never receive or store card details — payment is handled by Telegram, Apple or Google.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, error logs.
3. Special category data and your consent
Religion, attitude to therapy, and information from which your sexual orientation can be inferred are treated by law as special category data. We process them only because you entered them yourself and consented, and only to suggest suitable people to you.
These fields are optional: you may leave them blank, choose “prefer not to say”, or delete them at any time — the service keeps working. Withdrawing consent means deleting those fields or your whole account.
We take this consent as a separate tick-box when you fill in your profile and store it with the date and the version of this document, so it is clear what you agreed to and when.
4. Why we process data
- to create your profile and show it to other users;
- to suggest candidates and compute compatibility and distance;
- to let you chat once you have matched;
- to confirm an account is genuine (email, phone, selfie);
- to act against rule-breakers: reports, blocks, bans;
- to sell and account for paid features;
- to send notifications about likes, matches and messages;
- to find and fix technical faults.
5. Who else receives data
We do not sell your data and do not share it with advertisers.
- Railway — hosting for the service and database.
- Cloudflare R2 — photo storage.
- Telegram — sign-in, bot, notifications and Stars payments.
- Apple and Google — app distribution and in-app purchases.
- Resend — delivery of emails with codes and notifications.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — resolving coordinates from a city name; only the city and country are sent.
- Google Translate and MyMemory — translating profile text when you tap “Translate”; the text you translate is sent to the translation service.
- Sentry — technical error reporting.
6. Transfers outside Georgia
The services listed above are located outside Georgia, so your data is transferred abroad. We choose providers that state GDPR compliance.
7. How long we keep data
- Account data — for as long as the account exists.
- After you delete your account, your profile, photos and messages are deleted.
- Some records (for example about reports, bans and payments) may be kept longer where needed for the safety of the service or required by law.
- Backups and logs roll over gradually, so full deletion can take up to 30 days.
8. Your rights
- View and correct your data — in your profile.
- Delete your account — in your profile; deletion is permanent.
- Hide your profile without deleting the account — the /pause command in the bot.
- Request a copy of your data, restriction of processing, or complain — write to us. You may also contact the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.
9. Security
Passwords and one-time codes are stored hashed and the connection is protected by HTTPS. No protection is absolute, so don't put anything in your profile that you would not want strangers to see.
10. Age
The service is for adults only. If we learn that an account was created by a minor, we delete it.
11. Cookies
We use a single technical cookie for signing in (it lasts up to 14 days). There are no advertising or analytics trackers.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and tell you inside the service.
